Charles Frederick Cork, a bookkeeper at Arkell's brewery identified a ticket presented to him on March 21 by Cadigan as having been made out by Cadigan tor payment to Jones for 30 dozen quarts and 30 dozen pints. David W. Elliott, storeman at the brewery said he examined the stock oi bottles with Mr Arkell, and found 20 dozen clean quarts and a dozen which were dirty. Jones was about the store on March 21 and 22, but no bottles arrived from dealers on the atternoon of either date. It was impossible for 60 dozen bottles to have been brought in without witness's knowledge. (Proceeding)
