WINNERS OF THE PBIZES.

The winter show, which opened to-day, is one bi the best ever held.;; The general entries are larger than hitherto, and the display all round is very varied. In the factory class the prize for the best three boxes suitable for export'was won by the - Canterbury "Dairy Company (Belfast) with 93, South. Canterbury Company (Timaru) IJeing'second with 92 and 91 J. For the best two boxes suitable for export the Norsewood ;faetory was first with 92, and the Phama (Xaran&ki) second with 98, aod the, Thames Valley third with 891. In the cheese section the prise for the best five ewt. of full cream coloured cheese suitable for export was won by Mataura with 95i; Edendale was second with 97; and Waikouaiti third wiiih 94*. For best five ewt. of full cream (white) Edendale led with 94, Waikouaiti came second with 93, and Mataura third with 92*. ; In factory-made cheeses suitable for export, white or coloured, Mataura was first with 94, and Edendale second with 93.
