The Drunkards.—Fredk. Sergeant, who appeared for the third time during the last six months, was fined £1 or seven days' imprisonment. A fourth offender, named Thomas Aitken, -was sentenced to two months' imprisonment. Two first offenders were penalised to the extent of 5/- and costs or 24 hours' imprisonment.
Remanded. —Michael O'Shea was remanded until Tuesday on a charge of deserting his child. Frederick Cole, who had been arrested at Masterton on a charge of failing to support his illegitimate child, was remanded until Tuesday.
