lXmntions to Regattas.—The hon. sec. of the-FWMUuby Kegatm Committee wrote asking the Uuaril to iimke a donation to-wm-Us the regatta funds.—tt was decided to reply that, as only v limited amouoit of money for such purposes was available, only £10 eoultl be donated. It was decided to donate £lo towards the Auckland regatta.

Works at Birkeuhead.—lt was decided, on the recommendation, of the Committee, that lenders be invited for the works a.t Hwir.anhead, depuelt with tender to be for £]00, mid further sum of £100 Iα be deposited upon acceptance of tender.
Landing , Accommodation at Albany.—The residents ojf Albany iLoicad Creek) wrote asking for the erection of a amall wUarl at the pluce known as the Government landIng. The petition pointed out that the exlstluK wharf wuh only available for steamers during a short interval at high tide, whereas the proposed wharf would be usable two hours earlier iind two hours later .than tills existing one. The residents hnfl made a (iOfi road to the landing at their owu expense, while the easy grade made it a very desirable landing for heavy goods. The increase of traffic and population in the vicinity, moreover, was considerable, and fully warranted better facilities. The petition was presented by Mr Kpyos, on behalf of a large number of tut residents.—The petition was referred to committee.
