WEATHER FORECASTS.
(To t_e Editor.) Sir, —There has been a good deal of comment re the above of late; allow mc to offer a. suggestion. At present there is on top of the Harbour Board building a time-ball uvhich has not for some time been utilised for that purpose. Now could it not be brought into requisition as a means of foretelling the approach of severe weather? Possibly this would prove of more importance than the correct time to the seafaring man and others, though perchance we may he guided by a more reliable authority than CSnpt.
