Kaipara Heads, September 20.—Sailed to-day: Brisbane, s.s.. for Melbourne.
A recital of sacred music wiil take place- iv St.. Matthew's. Church, Welles-ley-street West, to-morrow (Friday) evening (St. Matthew's Day). The music will include Mendelsohn's motet "Hear my Prayer, aud an anthem specially written for hoys' voices within chorus, by J. Varley Roberts. _.lr 33. Jaeobsen, architect, ha* received instructions from Mr D. Leslie to prepare plans for a new hotel to replace that -recently...destroyed, by lire at Waitara. The building will contain 36 rooms. Of the AU'cldand hatch of. thirty immigrants, who arrived in Wellington by the Kiimara, twelve Teached here in the Tarawera to-day. Four arrived by the Rotoiti' yesterday, and the balance are coming forward, in small batches.
