THE MEAT SCANDALS.
DECISION OP THE ADMIRALTY. SUBSTITUTING AUSTRALIAN MEAT. LONDON, July 10. Owing to the refusal by the crew of one of the ships of the Atlantic squadron to eat American tinned meat, the Admiralty has permitted all the crews to return such meats to the stores, and is substituting Australian and Argentine tinned meat. Mr. Churchill, in the House of Commons yesterday, replying to Mr. J. Redmond, gave emphatic assurances, on the authority of Mr. Coghlan, the New South Wales Agent-General, that satisfactory official inspection is made of Australian tinned meats.
