FIRE INQUIRY.

(Ey Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI. this day. A coroner's inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the fire which occurred at Mrs*. M. Mullers residence at Mataura Bush on June 21 was opened this morning before Mr. Max D. King, district coroner, and a jury, of which Mr. Ready was foreman. The house, furniture, and effects were insured in the Liverpool, London, and Globe for £50. The fire was discovered before much damage ' was done. Sergeant McKinnon represented the police. Mr. Mueller appeared for Mrs. Muller. An adjournment was made to inspect the scene of the fire.
