DEATH UNDER CHLOROFORM.

PATIENT EXPIRES BEFORE AN OPERATION. A man named David Kilgour died while under chloroform at Dr. Dudley's residence, Epsom, this morning about a quarter to eleven. The deceased, who has been suffering from blood-poisoning of the -hand, resulting in disease of the bone, was about to be operated upon at the time by Drs. Dudley and Gordon.

The deceased iras 40 years of age. and lived in Xewmarket. "He had suffered for some months from a poisoned hand, and the bone became diseased, necessitating an operation. Dr. Gordon was performing the operation, and Dr. Dudley administering the anaesthetic. An inquest will be held in due course.
