Waihi shares showed a farther atlvanee in prices to-dajr ' on the -Exchange, sales being made as high as 167/ and 167/6, a rise of 6/ within the last three days. The tendency of the market as far as Waihi shares are concerned still seems to be upwards. "Waiotahi shares also firmed to-day, being wanted at. 181/6, but no sales were reported this morning. May Queens were easier, being sold down to 3/o. -Free transactions took, place in Thames shares at 1/6 arid 1/7, and New Darts at 3Jd. Albttrnias were a shade firmer, also Sylvias and Hidden Treasure's, the latter selling, and being still wanted, at "SJ<L In standard lines, sales took place of National bank shares at 107/. Kauri Timber shares continue to move upwards, paid-up shares selling to-day at 15/9, with, further buyers at 6d under that.figure, Contributing issue also rose in price. Mountain Rimus changed hands at and L.-OB timber shares were still In request at 42/6. Gas,shares were neglected to-day, but buyers of Northern Cpal advanced their offers to 13/ for both issues. N.Z. Cement shares were also stronger, being wanted at 33/. D.S.C., on the other hand, sold at 7/5 and 7/6.. Taranaki Oil shares were lower, being offered at £57 10/ at the noon call, with no buyers quoted. . WAIHI EXTENDED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. The lode in the Waihi Extended mine has now widened to over €ft. Neither wall is showing. The ore is well mineralised.
