TRAMWAY ACCIDENT.

Peter Walker, an old man who lived in Carlton Gore-road, was knocked down by a Kingsland tramcar near the Kingsland terminus last night. The motorman, William Eockland, had teen told that someone was waiting along the tram track, and kept a good look out. Having reached the terminus without incident, he returned slowly. As nobody could be seen after travelling some distance, Rockland put on speed, and almost immediately saw Walker ahead. Ec smartly brought up the car on the emergency brake, but the old man was knocked down just as the car stopped. Walker was picked up unconscious, and taken in the car to the Eden Terrace police station, by -which time he bsd t*coveied his senses. Dr. Moir found Mm suffering from a slight punctured wound on the head, and in view of his old age, sent h ttti to the hospital for treatment.
