Lieutenant-Colonel Norton J. Good•wyn, D.5.0., of the first battalion of pie Devoasnire Regiment, who arrived in Sydney from India, -about six weeks ago on a honeymoon trip, died~~at a private hospital;-from typhoid fever. The deceased, who was 44 years of age, was -fee second son of the late Brig-adier-General Goodwyn. He served with his regiment in South Africa, and -was wounded at Colenso. He held the office of Inspector of Gymnasia in India. Four months ago, at Lucknow, he married the widow of the late Mr W. B. Mitchell, a "well-known Sydney society lady.
