The afternoon's sport was admirably conducted by the secretary (Mr C. F. Mark) and the various officials. Speculation through the totalisator (owing to the absence of the bookmakers) was decidedly brisk, the machines, under Messrs Blomfleld and Co., handling the sum of £3277 10/, which is an increase of £1331 10/ on last year's amount.
