LONDON, April 16. Further details of the mutiny in the Portuguese navy show that the movement is widespread-
Reuters Madrid correspondent says bhe crew of the Portuguese ironclad Vaseo de Gania mutinied at Lisbon on Friday evening.
In response to signals and cries for help, a tugboat -went to inquire, but was received with rifle shots, and was compelled to return. Other vessels, including the Don Carlos, were similarly created on approaching. It is reported that the crew of the Vasco de Gama killed a lieutenant besiuse he killed a sailor who was about to fire one ofr the ship's guns at the shore. The Portuguese newspapers say that bhe Vasco de Gama constantly signalled the Dom Carlos, the crew of which also mutinied. The crews of the destroyer Tejo and the training ship Dom Fertando also mutinied. Reports ate current in Lisbon of acts of insubordination in severs! of tha garrison towns.
