ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.
INVERCARGILL CLERK SHOOTS HIMSELF. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, this day. John R. Roxburgh, aged twenty-six, a clerk, single, employed by Broad, Small and Co., hardwa.re merchant's, attempted suicide on Saturday evening by shooting. He fired four shots from a toy revolver at his foreheads two pellets glancing off and one becoming embedded.
It is expected he will recover. Roxburgh was in ill-health. He was leaving the firm's employ, and was to have received a presentation the same even-
