I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that a Meeting of the Ratepayers of the Remuera Road District will be held on TUESDAY, the 27th day of March, 1906, at the hour ,of 7.30 p.m., at the Remuera Public School, Remuera Road, to consider the following [ proposal of the Remuera Road Board: — j For the purpose of enabling the Re- !. muera Road Board to provide the necessary Waterworks of the Remuera Road District, by the laying of new mains and connections aud the construction of such addi- | tional waterworks, waterraces, reservoirs, buildings, and machinery of any and every description which the Remuera Road Board may think necessary for the purpose of increasing and extending the supply of water to persons and lands within the limits of the Remuera Road District, and'the purchase of all property, real or personal, and material which the Remuera Road Board may think necessary or requisite for the purposes aforesaid, to borrow the sum of £5000, at a rate of interest not exceeding £5i per centum per annum upon the security of ia) The whole of the waterworks, waterraces, reservoirs, buildings, machinery, property, real and personal, and material of every description , already constructed and pur- | chased or proposed to be constructed and purchased by the Remuera Road Board, and the revenue to be derived from the same ' and the supply of water by means thereof, whether by way of water rate or under any by-law or contract relating to the supply of water or otherwise, subject to the existing charge or security thereover, or over any part thereof ln respect of the existing waterworks loan of £15,000, or the unpaid balance thereon; (b) the Special Rate of One Halfpenny in the £, already made and levied on the lands within the Remuera Road District, as a security for the above-mentioned £15,000 loan, and to make such loan of £5000 repayable in 21 years, and to make provision for the payment of a Sinking Fund of at least One (1) per centum per annum, and to pay out of the loan such costs, charges and expenses ns the Remuera Road Board may determine to have been actually Incurred in connection with such loan, but not to pay out of the loan the Interest thereon for the first year.
