m PRODUCE QUOTATIONS. _r-i ßt^ t _ r: F -etory, lid; farmers, Ist grade ou, _nd 7*d. Guaranteed fresh eggs, 1/6: mixed, 1/. Th e supply of eggs this week has not been quite equal to the demand, ana the price has advanced 3d per dozen, there is good reason to believe that eggs are being held back for higher prices, and that many pickled eggs are being sent in •as fresh. Some dealers have resolved to Jay Informations against people sending into the market and offering for sale food not fit for human consumption. There is a good and payable price for good preserved eggs, but they must be marked as such. Only fresh-laid eggs are worth 1/6 wholesale. Mixed eggs will only be paid for at the price of preserved.
