A WOMAN'S SACRIFICE.

After having surrendered 36 Inches of skin, so that it might be grafted upon the leg of Johnny Rodvanish, a Polish boy, who was terribly burned last September, Mrs Cora Simpson, of Toledo, Ohio, has lain almost at the point of death for several days from the effects of the operation. Her sacrifice to save tbe boy's life proved unavailing, for he died shortly afterwards. His clothes had been saturated with gaso'ene while riding to a fire In a grocery waggon, and sparks from the engine Ignited tbem. The hospital surgeons said that skin-graft-ing alone could save his life. His father was appealed to for the necessary cuticle, but refused. Three others volunteered, but their nerve failed them at tbe critical moment, and finally, when he was nearly dead, Mrs Simpson heard of the case and sacrificed herself.
