Mr Parsons, chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Farmers' Union, interviewed in regard to the butter slump, said he did not consider that, the matter was very serious. The prices ruling of late had been abnormal. At 106/ the fanners would be getting good prices. A drop similar to the present occurred in 1594. Of the dairy union's output, valued at £100.000, half was sold, and the first four shipments on consignment realised from 111/ to 118/. Mr Parsons considers that the present season will be the best ever experienced by New Zealand farmers. LONDON, February 9. The butter market is qniet, and prices slightly weaker. Pour ships have discharged 108,000 boxes this wqj£k. Danish is unchanged. Australian salted, 100/ to 102/; New Zealand, 104/ to 106. Uhsalted, in small supplj-. 106/ to 108/.
