POLICE COURT.
■ YESTERDAY. (Before Mr R. W. Dyer, S.M.) AN UNCLEAN STABLE. Frederick. Andrew, and William Parsons, proprietors of a livery establishment at Devonport, pleaded guilty to having a. stable last yea.r that was not in a proper and clean condition, in accordance with the by-laws. Mr Skelton appeared for the prosecution, the defendants being represented by Mr McVeagh. Mr McVe'agh stated for the defendants that the necessary improvements had been effected. A fine of 2/6 was inflicted, with costs £5 2/. THIS DAY. (Before Mr. C. C. Kettle, S.M.) The Inebriates.—Alexander Finnegan was fined £1. in addition to having a prohibition order made against him. Joseph Breman was ordered a week's imprisonment, and a prohibition order was issued , against him. Indecency.—For committing an act of indecency in Lome-street yesterday Alexander Finnegan received a sentence of seven days' imprisonment. Theft.—An elderly man named FrankSwan, charged with having stolen a shipWright's cramp, valued at £3, the property of Charles Bailey, was sentenced to seven days' imprisonment with hard la- . hour.
