AVONDALE SHOW.

The annua) show was held under the auspices of the Avondnle and Waiknmeto Agricultural Association this afternoon in the Avondnle Hall. The weather was beautiful, and the attendance good. The annual meetings in connection with the Congregational Union of New Zealand will be held this year in Auckland. The opening meeting is next Wednesday, when delegates will be welcomed and the chairman (Rev. G. Heighway) will deliver his address. Meetings will be held each evening in the Beresfordstreet Church, as advertised, until the following Tuesday. The Onehunga Town Band will play the following programme in Victoria Park to-morrow (Sunday) afternoon, commencing at 3 p.m.: Quick march, "Onward, Christian Soldiers" (Round); valse, "Gay Paris" (Felix Burns); fantasia, "The Festival" (Round); song, "Ora Pro Nobis" (Piecolomini); grand march, "Oxford" (Round); overture, "Golden Rose" (Richards); valse, "Night and Morn" (Bucalossi); quick march, "Marseillaise" (Wright); God Save the King.
