Tfie Mangawhoro and Mangapouri Estates, which have been purchased by the Goyernmeilt from the Assets Realisation Board, are situated close to the Matamata Estate. Tlm Mangawhero Estate compromises 5670 acres and the Msngapouri consists of 2730. acres. The land is equal to the best portions in the Matatnata Estate and is excellent for farming and dairying country. It will be surveyed iftto suitable holdings, and it is expected it will tie* thrown open for selection in three of four months' time.
