M. Loubet has signed the .regulation providing for more drastic penalties for overland slave-dealing in West Africa. The Victorian Marine Board has granted Mr. Mylius, late master of the La Bella (suspended), a second mate's certificate. ■
A man named Jordaunt was sentenced to ten years' penal servitude at Sydney .V-sterday in connection with the recent Port Macquarie mail coach robbery. The second man charged was acquitted. '
