THE FLORAL FETE.
The Floral Fete, to be held next Saturday on the Ellerslie Racecourse, , promises, with fine weather, to attract | a record attendance of sightseers to Auckland's commodious metropolitan course. The entries this year are in ' most cases well above the average, and as additional ones will be received up tin nine o'clock on Saturday morning, it is expected that the number received up to the present will be considerably I augmented. In the class for decorated j lorries there are five entries, five for ; tradesmen's carts, twelve for ponies and 45 for posters. ' The committee have arranged to have the fete in the Drill Shed on Satunlav afternoon and evening should the weai ther be wet.
