A SEA MYSTERY.

An interesting report upon the finding of an improvised raft on the West Coast," about 15 miles north of Hukatere, has been received by Inspector Cullen from Constable Beazley, Kai'taia. Ihe raft is 7ft long, 4ft wide, and is constructed of worn kauri timber, bound together with ropes. On each side are three oil or tar drums, designed to act as floaters. On tbe centre of tbe raft is a box, evidently designed as a seat, but there was nothing to indicate where the mysterious craft came from.
