ELEMENTARY AGRICULTURE.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.! WET-LII>rGTON, this day. In connection with the establishment c-f classes for instruction in elementary agriculture under the direction of the Wellington Education Board, the special committee set up to deal with this departure has been authorised to appoint the instructor, and the* appointment should be made within a few days. The classes will be conducted ■in the same way as those at present established in commerce, engineering, etc, and the subjects taught will include English, mathematics, chemistry, and physics, wood and iron work, drawing, , elementary agricuitnrr, andbookkeeping and business routine for; farmers. One day in each week will be •devoted to practical work in the laboratory, and in the experimental plots, an acre of ground within easy access of the school being available for the purpose.
