NEW ZEALAND AND THE COMMONWEALTH.
(Eeceived 9.48 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. At the session of the Federal Council of the Protestant Alliance Friendly Societies Brother Salmon presented the rej port oi his mission to endeavour to induce the New Zealand brethren to adopt the Federal code of rules, and his failure to do so. He attributed this to the fear on the part of New Zealnnders of anything in the shape of federation. If there had been no Commonwealth the rules would have been almost for a certainty adopted by New Zealand.
