Admiral Sir Arthur Moore, second oi the Channel fleet, has ls_PPou»ed to succeed Vice-Admiral m Gerard Noel in command of the gs squadron, and that Vice-Admiral rtHon A- Curzon-Howe, second in comd of tie China squadron, has been ""ointed to -succeed Admiral Moore.
rVice-Admiral Sir Arthur William -lire is -58 years of age. He served in itl&ptian war in 1882; and was a iiib-r of the Australian Defence Comm» in' 1890-91, a Lord Commissioner She Admiralty.in 1898-1901, and Com- °' (ier-in-Chief on the Cape and West Sn station 1901-1904. In the latter *r he was appointed to the second comggi ofthe Channel fleet.]
