CYCLING. The competitions In connection with the . Anckand Cycling Club's opening ruu en Saturday afternoon last resulted as follows:—The most original costume: J. Hawkins 1, A. Bennett 2. The most comical display: Messrs Baker, Maekay, and Dadley ("The Darktown Saveloy Band"). Best decorated ladies' bicycle: Miss Maberiey 1. Best decorated gentleman's bicycle: Mr R. Price X. The hill climbing contest was won by D. Ireland, •with B. Maberley second, and C. Piper third. There were 20 starters. The slow race was won by V. Sutherland. In this event there were 26 starters.
