(By Telegraph.—Press __seclstl—_> WELLINGTON, this day. A very heavy fall of hail came down suddenly this morning and covered the city with a white sheet. The sky then aa suddenly cleared, and the weather ia now fine again. CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Snow fell heavily for two hem* this morning, bnt all traces had disappeared by 9.30 ajn. under the effect of brilliant sunshine. ASHBURTON, this day. After an unusually mild winter, about three-quarters of an inch of snow fell during the early hours this morning. DUNEDIN. this dayThere was a light fall of snow early this morning, but the sun is now out and the weather is fine again. I-STVI-RCARGILL, this day. During last night there was a heavy fall of snow, which lay about three inches deep this morning. Why hesitate, when everything in hats, caps, bags, trunks and umbrellas reduced at the great alteration sale at Geo. Fowlds*.—Ad.
