(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. A mectiug of the olflcers and men of both the local volunteer companies was held last evening to consider matters re the drill shed. It was resolved that the Government be again approached with respect to the ptoiulsed subsidy of £250. U will be remembered that application was made "or £400; aud lr was midorstood the request was refused. The meeting stands adjourned for one week. The hospital trustees made application for £000 for the forthcoming year. At a meeting of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board last evening the request was granted. Dr. Frengley. the health officer. in- holding a conference to-day with the hospital trustees residing proposed additions to the hospital for Infectious diseases.
