GRAFTON FOOTBALL CLUB. The annual meeting of the Grafton District Football Club was Held at the training shed, Mt. Eden, on Wednesday, Mr Geo. Martin presiding over an attendance of about 50 members. The annual report stated that the clnb had been fully represented In the matches last season, but had not been very successful. With several new acquisitions- this year they hoped to have a more successful record.' The financial statement, which was passed with the report and regarded as very satisfactory, showed that subscriptions from tne vice-presidents amounted to £34 13/. During the year the club had been able to pay £50 off the mortgage upon the training shed, leaving a balance of £23. After meeting all payments the club was able to carry forward a credit balance of £18 .6/. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr A. Myers; vice-presidents, I Messrs D. Clayton, J. Paul, jun., and F Clayton; secretary, Mr D Dunlop; assistant secretary, Mr T. Marshall; treasurer, Mr E. A. Craig; auditor, Mr G. W. Sanders; Management Committee, Messrs G. Martin, "G. Hill, and W. Marshall; delegates to the association, Messrs D. Dunlop,. G. Martin, and E. A. Craig. A discussion took place in regard to the Secondary Schools' Union, and it was decided to leave the question in the hands of the association delegates. It was alos decided to carry out repairs to the training hall. ACCOUNTANTS' STUDENTS' SOCIETY. The Auckland Accountants' Students* Society held their first meeting of the session on. Wednesday. Mr W. R. Holmes, occupied the chair. A good, at--1 tendance of students were present. The Institute of Accountants was represented by Mr H. Tewsley, F.1.A.X.Z., Mr Cooper, F.1.A.N.Z., and Stanley G. Chambers. A.I.A.N.Z. An interesting lecture was given by Mr A. Grierson, C.A., Eng.. and Wales, on "The Auditing of Joint Stock Companies' Books." Several questions were asked, and the meeting terminated with votes of thanks to the lecturer and chairman. ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. A meeting of the Thistle Football Club took place on Wednesday, when Mr W. Ritchie presided. A number of members attended. It was resolved t hat the members present form a team, and that practice sames will be started on Saturday. The secretary of the club was asked to write to the secretary of the New Zealand Association with regard to the reinstatement of W. Ritchie, who was disqualified last season, and who was not reinstated this year along with the other members of the club. Mr C. S. Lees was re-e*eeted secretary, and Mr T. Grade treasurer. LACROSSE ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of members of the Lacrosse Association, which was to have been held last nient at the rooms of the Amateur Sports Club, has been postponed until Monday evening next.
