TRAM FARES.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —Seeing that the Tramway Company is thinking of reducing- the fare between Newmarket and Epsom, I would respectfully suggest that the single fare between Custom-street and Heme Bay-road (and vice versa) be reduced to 2d. To chargo Id to go from Wallace-street to Heme Bay-road is excessive. Many Bayfield residents at present walk and get out at Wal-lace-street, because they object on principle to pay the extra fare. I thought ;it 'wns understood at the time when the line to Heme Bay was extended that the through fare would ultimately be 2d.—l am, etc, RESIDENT.
