GRIPENBERG RELINQUISHES COMMAND.
LONDON, February 4. It is serni-C—,cially announced at St. Petersburg that General Gripenberg has transferred his command to General Nilof, on the ground of ill-health. [It was reported in a recent cable that General Gripenberg was at variance with General Kuropatkin with regard to the non-arrival of rein_forcements in the Hun River battle. On the other hand, it is possible that this story was circulated prior to General Gripenberg being superseded.]
