AQUATICS.

The North Shore Yacht Club were sailing a cruising race to Kawau this afternoon. The North Shore Rowing Club were holding trial fours this afternoon, and a cruising race under the auspices of the Ponsonby Cruising Club is proceeding. The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron's sailing races, which were to take place thii afternoon, were abandoned owing to the poor entries. A motor launch race was started at 3 o'clock, the entries and handicaps being as follow:—Slim Jim and Union,' scratch; Enoho, lSmin 15sec; Matareka, lOmin; Petrel. 20min lOsec: Ngapuhi, 23min lOsec.
