Shrubb, in the course, of an interview, said that he employed no special method, but went into . iraining. He believed in eating what he 1 iked, ami in taking p'.enty of cold baths. He make ; his first appearance at Melbourne on the 12th inst.

Neither Rowley nor BarKer will be able to get away, but Widmer, the 100 yards and 440 yds champion of New South Wales, lias been selected. No reply has yet been received from the Victorians.
