The Show Ground. —A report was reeelred from Mr Harrison with regard to, tbi proposed show ground at Ellerslie. Jlr Harrison said he bad visited the propeity available, and had examined it thoroughly. tie was of the opinion that the best iesulta would be obtained by commencing operations on the western side of the railway. A plan of the proposed ground was submitted, showing particulars of the' proposed arrangements. The area of the ground is about 23 acres. It was resolved to let the matter stand over for the In. coming committee, as it was the first time that members had seen the plan. Egg-laying Competitions.—A , letter wai read from Mr Clifton with reference' tt the proposed egg-laying competitions, stating that th decision rested with the pomtry expert, Mr Hyde. Personally he was willing to do all he could to further th* matter.
