AQUATICS.
The plant of the Auckland Rowing Club will be increased in September next by a four-oar practice outrigger, which is being built in Melbourne, and three new "stumps,*' which have been ordered from Wellington. It is likely a match will be made between C. A. Messenger and C. Towns for J_ 100 aside, and to be rowed on the Parramatla River. Messenger is said to be anxious for the race, and Towns will accept if challenged. The "Australian Henley" Amateur Regatta will be held on the' Upper Yarra on Saturelay, October 22.
