A deputation from the New Zealand Employees' Federation placed before the Premier to-day certain suggested amenuments in the Shops and Olfices Bill. Mr Seddon assured the deputa.tion that the Government desired to p? c - an 'Act which would not cause Iriction, but would discriminate between the various interests. He thought there was great danger in having too many exemptions. They led to abuse. He agreed with several of the proposed amendments, and would have them drafted for consideration.
