RUSSIA MUST EXTRICATE •HERSELF.

PARIS, August 2.
Indications are not wanting of the fact that the French public are entirely opposed to armed support of Russia in the event of further complications. The latest sign of this attitude is an important and an unequivocal leading article in the famous French paper, "La Journal dcs Debats." The writer, in dealing with the fresh difficulties of Russia with regard to the seizure or neutral shipping, says that the popular voice of France is unmistakable.
"The people of France are determined," the writer decides, "that Russia must extricate herself."
France was certainly far from disposed to set herself in opposition to England, the entente with whom was daily becoming more essential.
