Generals Kuroki and Nogi are endeavouring to form a junction to cut off General Knropatkin between Liao-yang and Mukden. General Nogi commands the Takus_a_ army, Which is not co-operat-ing with General Oka. It is marching to the north-west of Liao-yang.
