AUCKLAND CUSTOMS REVENUE

' RETURN/ The Collector of Customs (Mr Alex. Rose) has compiled a table showing the Customs duties and general Customs receipts collected at the Port of Auckland during the financial year ending on March 31. Compared with the previous years it will be seen there were noticeable increases in revenue. The increase was even greater than it was for the calendar year of 1903. when the amount of Customs duties collected was £'630,740, an increase on the preceding year of £32,226, and the total receipts £G59,753, an increase of £37,999. The Customs duties collected during the financial year just closed was £645,7-51, and of this amount £635 11/9 .as under the preferential tariff. CUSTOMS DUTIES.
