STOCK AND PRODUCE. Messrs Alfred Bucklund and Sons report that at the Hay_narl_et they had a fall entry of horses, principally of the lighter class, competition lor which was dull. Medium draughts, £20 to £30; good hacks and buggy horses, £17 to £21 10/; light harness and ordinary hacks, £0 to £15 IS/; weeds and ponies, £1 5/ to £8. Straw, ly/ load. Hides, skins, tallow, etc.: Ox, 4}d to 6d; cow, 4d to 4&_.; kip, 3Jd to 4d. Cowtalls, 1/5; calf, 4d to sid; bones, 5/; fat, lid; tallow, 15/ to 20/3. Skins: Country. 1/3 to 3/5. Pelts—Fresh and salted, 2/ to 2/7; country and damaged, Id to 2/2. Lambskins, lid to 2/7. Wool, in bags: Crossbred, 4d to sid; lamb, sd; locks and pieces, 2d to 3Jd. Grain, etc.: Oats, same as last week; maize, dropped to 2/5 ex wharf owing to supply being ln excess of demand; chaff, in full supply, local difficult to sell in competition with Southern. They quote:—Oats, 2/ to 2/2; Algerian seed 2/9. Maize, 2./4 to 2/0; .arley, 2/C to 2/!>; wheat, 2/10 to 3/3: chaff, local £2 10/ to £4 0/, Southern £5; bran. £3 5/; sharps, £5 &/; pressed hay. £3 to £4 10/: straw, £3 %/. At Remuera on Thursday dairy and store cattle came forward in average numbers. Cows, at profit, sold from £5 to £8 10/: dry. £3 to £4 10/; calves, 21/ to z_o/. The store cattle were not sold. Fat and young calves, penned short of requirements, were better worth, small selling up to 10/, medium U* IS/, heavy to 56/; 47 sold. The beef pens w_re well filled with cattle of choice quality. Prices were steady throughout, but lower, ox beef selling from 21/ to 22/ the 1001b; cow, to 20/. Steers ranged iv price from £6 5/ to £11 15/; cows, £4 10/ to £10. the latter price being obtained for Mr AY. Vosper's cow (first prize Cambridge show); 270 sold. Sheep came forward in average numbers. Prices were slightly easier, owing no doubt to the heavy rain which fell all the afternoon. Best wethers reached 25/; lighter weights, to 18/; ewes, 12/0 to 18/; stores, S/6 to 13/6: IGOO sold. Fat and store lambs, ln usual numbers, sold freely; heavy lambs, to 16/; lighter weights, 10/6 to 13/; store, 7/6 to S/6. There was a large yarding of pigs, and no improvement in values, small selling from 3/6 to 9/; porkers, 25/ to 33/; baconers, to 40/; 85 sold.
