A committee meeting of the Auckland Kennel Club was held on Tuesday, April 10, to arrange details and dates of the 1904 show. There was a full atten lance of committeemen and vicepresicenls. In the absence of the ciuVnaan (Mr. G. W. S. Patterson), Mr. W. H. Gothorpe was voted to the chair. Dates were fixed for 1904 show, viz., July 22 and 23, at the Federal Hall. These dates coming some ci t "ht days after Napier show, give Southei.. exhibitors a rare chance to forward their dogs to Auckland show. Mr. J. C. Coupe of Melbourne, was appointed judge cf all classes except bull dogs, Mr. Edgar Perks, of Birkenhead, being appointed judge of the latter class. The secretary reports everything* points to a successful show for 1904, and already 19 new members have joined the club since last show. A correspondent writes to a Waikato paper suggesting that the Cambridge whirlpool, which is such an over present danger to those who go oa the river, should be blown up.
