EMPIRE VETERANS' ASSOCIATION- ' A well-attended a___.erly general eot__mirtee meeting of the Empire Veterans* Association was held at the Drill Hail. Rutland street (kindly lent by Colonel Bavles), on Wednesday afternoon. Capt. B* J. Daveney presided- The hon. treasurer reported the funds to be in a satisfactory state, there being a credit balance of __•__ and no liabilities. A large amount of correspondence was received an_ dealt with. It was decided that an illuminated -address, to be signed by the executive officers oi. the association, be presented to tt.. Excellency Lord Ranfnrly at a parade of veterans before hi_ departure from. The bsilance sheet showed receipts* ____0 2/, and expenditure £123 3/8, leaving a credit of £13 8/4. Mr Smith was appoint-" ed minister's warden.
