MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF A SOLICITOR.

SYDNEY, April 19. The jury returned an open verdict regarding the death of Mr. Walter Lirtisay Thompson, a well-known Marine Court solicitor, who resided at Edgecliff road, Woollahra, and who was found dead in his office by his clerks. There was a bullet wound in his left side, immediately below the region of the heart, and close by lay a revolver of the Mauser pattern, one chamber having recently been discharged.
