SUDDEN DEATH AT BIRKENHEAD.

Mr William Taylor, an old and wellknown resident of Birkenhead, died suddenly..at his residence, Birkdale-road, yesterday afternoon. Mr Taylor had just returned from Rotorua, and felt much better for his trip. About halfpast three Mr Taylor complained to his wife of a pain in the chest, am. took something to relieve the pain, lie then went out into the yard to unharness a horse, and while doing so suddenly dropped and expired almost immediately. Dr. Carolan was called in, but could only say that life was extinct, and as the doctor had not attended deceased, he could not certify as to the en use of death. ***• Gresham, coroner, was informed . • circumstances, and decided to holu an inquest, which was prooseding this afternoon. 1
