FATE OF VERESHCHAGIN.
How the Great Artist Died. *S (Received 8.58 ajn.) LONDON, April 19. Vasili Vereshchagin arrived at Port Arthur on the 12th inst. The object of the great artist in thus risking his life once more was to paint a naval battle in a connected series of ; pictures, entitled "The Horrors of War." i He was seen at the moment of the exj plosion engaged in sketching. I The artist's body has been recovered.
