WELLINGTON, this day. The results of the public school cadets' firing competitions show that Onehunga school won the North Island shield, with 073 points out of 840 points, and an average of 64 1-5; while Waimate school won the South Island shield, with 673 points, average 67 1-3. The other leading scores are: North island: Coromandej, 007 points; Wellington Terrace, 602; Greytown, 000. South Island: Greymouth, 065; Taylorvill, 655; Invercargill South, 023; Oamaru South, 613; Laurence, 612; Albany-street, Dunedin, 617.
