ONEHUNGA.

The ordinary meeting of the Onchunga Borough Council was held last Present: His Worship the Mayor (Mr D. A. Sutherland), Crs. Rowe, Rishworth, 11..Lood, Stoupe, Tole, Gray, and Glanfield.

Gas Lamp.—Tho Council in committee requested tho Town Clerk to write to the Auckland Gas Co. expressing regret that the Council declined to erect a gas lamp at the corner of Victoria unci Arthur sti-wts. The recommendation was adonted.

Storm Water.—Mr ,1. J. Graham, licensee of the Hibernian Hotel, complained of the flow of storm water on to his promises.— The matter was left in tho hands of the Streets Committee.

Resignation.—Mr D. A. Gray wrote tendering his resignation as a member of-th/> Council, bom;,' compelled, owing to falling health, to leave the district.—The resignation was accepted, and Mr Gray was thanked for lib; services.
